Official results from mandatory inspection carried out by relevant authorities in Indonesia confirmed that residues from illegal Hormone Growth Promotants ("HGP") of a class known as β2-adrenergic agonists were found in an alarmingly large number of feedlots nationwide. The feedlots which tested positive include large agribusinesses representing well known brands.

PT Sukses Ganda Lestari ("SGL") was declared "one of the good guys", having been cleared by the comprehensive checks, which were sanctioned by the Ministry of Agriculture's Director General of Animal Husbandry and Health. SGL Chairman Mulyo Setiawan was not surprised by the outcome. "SGL has always prioritized quality; we use scientific and natural methods to produce wholesome quality beef from premium cattle."

Mr. Setiawan emphasized, "For the sake of consumer wellbeing, we have never and will never use HGP in our cattle."
